Primary: ReWild Your School

The Jane Goodall Institute Australia has launched a Habitat Education Program for Years 5 – 6 Geography and Science.

The Jane Goodall Institute Australia (JGIA) has launched the Rewild Your School (RYS) program created by a team of ecological and educational experts.

This program aims to address the urgent need to halt biodiversity decline, minimise climate impacts and enhance mental well-being via a transformative environmental education program.

RYS provides your students with the tools, knowledge and confidence to apply pertinent environmental solutions in decision making now and in the future.

Students work through 10 ‘Actions’ (lessons) to apply purposeful, measurable and hands-on solutions to enhance habitat connectivity in your school area. Each class champions a different local animal as a case study for the program.

Reasons to ReWild your school

  • Purposeful outcomes: ReWild Your School (RYS) is a hands-on program tailored to investigating & actively promoting local species.
  • Champion local animals: Each class will adopt a local species as a case study & provide purposeful & sustainable habitat in your grounds.
  • Full school term or intensive unit: We provide a thorough structure & resources for you to confidently lead a unit comprising 10 lessons. Fast track the program with our engaging incursion!
